It all began when Roberto Valducci and the dream of donating a hotel to Pennabilli.
To make this dream come true, Roberto bought and renovated the old Carabinieri barracks, a building dating back to the early 20th century, and enlisted the help of a special friend: TONINO GUERRA.
The famous poet, painter and screenwriter, who lived the last part of his life in Pennabilli, personally designed and cared for many of the works and furnishings, transforming the rooms into narratives and the hotel into an act of love for his adopted town.
Thus, out of the shared dream of a poet and an entrepreneur, Hotel il Duca del Montefeltro was created.
When Alessia Valducci inherited the property from her father, she decided to relaunch it by inserting a business with a strong social vocation into the prestigious hotel.
So she gathered a group of friends and experts who shared the same dream and created the Cooperativa Sociale La Noce.
The name suggests the care and respect of what is intimate and profound and is the symbol of this splendid territory nestled between the Marecchia Valley and Montefeltro.
The Cooperativa Sociale La Noce was established to offer young people a second chance and to foster a mutual acceptance between young people, residents and guests.
La Noce is based in the hotel and rests on two pillars: the socio-educational activities and the tourism-hotel business: one growing in and with the other.
Thanks to the Cooperative, the hotel reopened to the public in June 2022 as a hospitality workshop, a location where humanity and beauty meet and share.
If we really want to, we can always find the time to do something good.
And perhaps transform it into an opportunity for regeneration for us and for others.
In fact, true happiness is realised in being together.
Pennabilli can offers all of this because here beauty, poetry, nature and spirituality have found a home.
